Memorial Day

Let us honor the memory of our nation's heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving with courage and valor for our country.

Observed annually on the last Monday in May, Memorial Day is a poignant American holiday established with the purpose of honoring those who have died valiantly while serving in the United States armed forces. Initially known as Decoration Day, the custom was brought about in the aftermath of the Civil War, and eventually evolved into an official federal holiday in 1971.

It is a day that we pay our respects to the brave men and women who laid down their lives in service, and we do so through solemn ceremonies, parades, and by spending cherished time with friends and family.

We wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day weekend.
