Memorial Day

Honoring the heroes who gave their lives while serving our country.

Observed on the last Monday in May, Memorial Day is an American holiday established to honor those who have died while serving in the United States armed forces. Originating in the years after the Civil War, and originally called Decoration Day, Memorial Day became an official federal holiday in 1971, and is celebrated with parades, paying respects to those we've lost, and enjoying the company of friends and relatives.
